Accounts extraction
Extract controlled accounting data into reusable workbook outputs.
Synthetic demonstration
The demonstration
What this film shows
The operator tests a connection to accounts software, queues the period datasets, runs the extraction and reviews evidence counts before opening the resulting workbooks.
The problem
Period-end reporting often starts by exporting several files by hand and rebuilding them in a new workbook. Checks then sit outside the extract.
Who uses it
Finance teams need a repeatable connection to accounts software, a chosen period and a trail of what each extract produced.
The flow
- The connection to accounts software is tested against the approved source.
- Company, period and datasets are selected.
- Extraction writes workbook outputs and records input, output and rejected counts.
- Evidence and drill-down link to each file.
- The resulting workbooks are opened for overheads, retention, project costs and related schedules.
Design choices
Workbook outputs are a result of the extract, not the connection itself. AI does not process the company accounting data. Accuracy comes from deterministic calculations, controlled cut-offs, repeatable checks and visible evidence.
Related systems
LedgerLink supplies controlled accounts data. Deterministic local processing then produces Cashflow and Management Accounts from that extract plus verified live-system inputs.
